Located on prime location in the West of the island, the Sands is a lovely hideaway for those seeking tranquillity and quality of service.  Its 91 rooms are airy, spacious and comfortable, each equipped with twin or king size beds and a rather large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. All rooms offer sea view, and a furnished terrace or balcony. The hotel facilities are arranged around the pool area, from where guests may enjoy beautiful views over the lagoon and landmark mountain “Le Morne”. In the evenings, colourful tropical sunsets add to a romantic atmosphere.

The restaurant "Tamarin Terrace" serves daily breakfast in the mornings and features international cuisine and Mauritian specialties in a buffet style at dinner time. Sophisticated island cuisine reflecting the islands oriental and occidental culinary mix is served "a la carte" at “The “Spices" restaurant next door. Sunsets are a must to enjoy at the “Dolphin Bar”, as it faces scenic Tamarin Bay and offers a wide range of rums and cocktails.

The swimming zone is sheltered by stone wave breakers. Outside the stone setting, the lagoon provides an exciting playground with all kinds of water activities offered by the resort.
Binoculars can be borrowed at the reception to watch the resident dolphin and porpoise pod which comes into Tamarin bay to rest after their night hunt.

The Spa area is arranged around a beautiful Buddha and a subtle atmosphere prevails. As guests step in for their treatment, the Spa assistants greet them and pamper them with a footbath to relax and soothe body and mind before they are being escorted to their actual treatment rooms. The internal décor provides a softened colour scheme which contributes to the relaxing atmosphere.
